On August 11, 2022 the dept responded to reported residential structure fire. Upon arrival of the chief he observed a smoke condition from the residence and people evacuating. Upon investigation a partially extinguished kitchen fire was observed. Members from Ladder 14 arrived and conducted searches for any remaining civilians along with checking for further fire extension. Engine 7 arrived and stretched a hose line and extinguished any remaining fire. Upon arrival of Rescue 4 members conducted any secondary searches throughout the residence for any possible remaining occupants which proved negative. Ambulance 8 and the 1st Responder checked all the occupants for any respiratory issues which was none noted. Mutual aid was supplied by the Sound Beach FD for (1) Engine.
