On Tuesday April 8th the dept was requested to respond to aid the Sound Beach FD at a working residential structure fire. Upon arrival of chief 31 he observed a 2 story private house with an exterior fire extending to the 1st and 2nd floor rooms. E-3 arrived and provided a positive water source to Sound Beach operating units. After, the members were assigned to perform searches on the upper floors. In the course of their duties no victims were found but fire was observed auto exposing from the exterior. The Co officer requested a hose line and any fire found was Extinguished. Members operated for approximately 1 hour. No injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation by the Town of Brookhaven Fire Marshall’s office.
